SCSC conflict on ID #6...

Why does this always happen? I turn the mpc off, disconnect and reconnect all scsi cables, turn the mpc back on and repeat this process several times until the problem goes away. But I am a bit leary about problems that I do not understand. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated...

isnt the MPC always scsi id #6?

yes, i had the same problem. you have to choose another id for your scsi device
i use id 5 for my zip, works perfect

that the mpc is defaulted the scsi 6 but what I am speaking of is the fact that ,y scsi burner is on id 4 while my zip drive is on id 5 so why is there a scsi conflict on id 6? Beats me?!

Make sure the disk is not in the zip drive.
Turn the MPC on and wait till it gets to the main screen.
Now put the zip in and load it.

Thats the only way I've found to prevent that same error.

All I have is a zip drive hooked up to my XL and it's set to default on Scsi I D# 5. But could it be an unterminated link in your scsi chain? Just some input as I said all I have is the zip drive hooked up to my scsi line. More than likely I'm wrong but hell I'm learning hands on for the most part.
