i have a keyboard but being so smart i got one that is usb and has no midi connection. is there a way to connect my usb yamaha to my mpc like through a box or something?

not that I know, unless you want to connect it first to a computer add an extra midi interface to your computer and go from that midi interface to your MPC, but that seems like overkill to me.

i had the same problem a few months ago...i feel u. one way i was told was to run the usb in to a computer from the keyboard and then from the computer into the mpc.
i decided to just get a new keyboard with midi, its the easiest thing to do and it will be better in the long run.
if u dont wanna spend a lot but want a nice keyboard with good sounds and midi check out the roland juno-d.
make sure u research what ur fin to buy before u get it... im sure u learned that now. i did after i got sold one of those...
