I got a vocal sample which is pretty clean, but it fades to zero just slightly after the sample- and i'd like to compensate a little if possible. I've tried compressing it but it brings out the instruments in the extreme background too much- and its pretty scratchy wax so you cant just volume envelope or the hiss takes over (and filtering it out sounds wack).
any suggestions? i understand im never gonna get it perfect, i just want to compensate a little so the last quarter is a little more audible, so i dont have to have the vocal so forward in the mix, blaring over everything.
cheers
