Some questions - fan noise and pics of the inside

I think the MPC4k fan is far too noisy for recording - and for me for working too- it drove me crazy, which is why I disconnected it . As long as there is air getting underneath it is fine - doesn't ven get that hot - but then I live in the UK, some of you fukkers in Bermuda might find a difference.

But I am sensitive to this insistent backgrounf noise. My computer drove me nuts too as well until I got an IBM centrino laptop - SILENT!

The fact you can stop the drive spinning is a big help on the MPC4k.

obviously I can't recommend anyone else to disconnect the fan - but its been fine for me...

bro, wen u do your recording, use a unidirectional mic. and place it away from the mpc. cause them kinda mics dont record any sounds coming from behind.
thats my problem solved.
