fukk this piece of sh!t....

once again i have a beat (that i've spend hours trimming and cueing) going on and a long sample. now i when i add a synth line on a track, the sample cuts
on the end. i tried switching it to note on and putting every sample to mono
but no luck........now im really frustrated.....wtf is this..........?

When you say "synth line" are you speaking of an External module or a synth sample within the MPC1K?

golden, i speaking of a synth sample used 16 pads to make a simple line.
if i mute 3 tracks i can get the sample play to the end. but i need those 3
tracks.....

CHECK YOUR MUTE GROUPS.
i've made quite a few beats, using synths, long recording and the like on my MPC, and the only time i've experienced cut outs is when im over 32 samples at once, or when the mute groups are conflicting.

i've had cutouts when the polphony gets too much for the 1000 to handle.
stereo samples of cymbals usually cause the cutouts for me.

well i've got 8 samples, one long sample (poly) and the rest 7 are small drum
samples which are all mono. mono as in "not poly", they're all stereo. but
i don't wanna change em to mono, this has got to work somehow.

try this layer the sample with the same sample. Go to the range and split it up equally and use the 16 levels/velocity and chop it. put each part on a differnt track and have them hit one after each other.
range
sample 1 0-32
sample 1 33-65
sample1 66-97
sample 1 98-127

its worth a try

maybe this is related to the problem with 16 levels i have:

when i hold down a note, then press another intermittently, the held down note will cut off as i lift myfinger off the other pad
