I have a 2 bar loop on my 1K, and I've found the BPM for it a well (88.0). The loop runs perfectly! But when I try to create a drum pattern, it sounds unmatched with the sample. In other words, it sounds kind of off.

what i do is take a hihat and record it holding down tap tempo and if it sounds off there then i either re cut the loop or turn off the T.C.

Your loop might not be chopped precise enough, the players on the loop may not be playing the whole 2 bars @ exactly 88BPM.

turn off the qanitize and re do the drums

It could be that the loop isn't chopped exactly on the beat, it'll still loop properly if it's not cut exactly on the 1st beat of the bar. Try having the sample looping in a sequence then sample the main outs for about 3 or so bars, then go into the sample editor and chop it so it's cut exactly at the start of the first beat and out exactly before the next hit of the first. The new sample should still loop perfectly but now the hits will line up with the mpc's quantise points.

Thanks for all the help, I chopped it exactly at the beginning and end and it worked! 8)
