Thats tight. I just didnt like that hat. Also, a bassline would go dope under that. Plus ol dirty got a crazy flow and i always have trouble gettin his shit on beat, but you did that right.

I didnt know you had a sp. When did you get that shit? I had a SP12 once, but my shit kept givin me glitches. Every time i sampled more then 2 things, it would say sample overload and distort every one of my sounds and then id hafto reboot. that sucked.

I got the sp12 in 1995 from some reggae guy in south central L.A. for $800. Got out of beat making around 1998 or so and hadnt really touched it since.
If it wasnt for Elmacaco I wouldnt be using the sp12 or even my W30 CAUSE I didnt know jack shyt about MIDI, the idea that I can use all my shyt thru the 60.
The 12 is dope and easy-fun as f*ck to use. What I've been doing is taking samples and loading them into the sp303 so that I have time in the 12. One of these days I'll take Elmacacos advice and do a beat using all my gear for one track.\
But ya, that sp12 is a beast

andreas.....are you using the mpc-60 and the sp-12 in midi? I was gonna say....the sp-1200 has a really weak resolution.....i'm messing around with my homey's 1200 and I can't create the same kinda patterns i can on my 60. it's mad difficult.....

aweeeeeeeee man - please don't tell me you're sampling the 12 drums...dog you gotta mix them through a console and omit the 303 altogether...that shit is great for long melodic samples but not for DRUMS........duke the Sp-12 is fukkin monster with the drums....especially when you pitch down your kicks they womp.....see my post in this 60/3000 forum.....all 1200 and EMAX through MIDI....the EMAX is amazing!

Yeah Andreas, Like I said before, don;t sample the 12 into the 303, sample it into the 60 or into the W-30 for fun filtering. 12 bit going into 12 bit is incredible.
