I just installed mine yesterday.
If you have the official IB-M208P from AkaiPro it's easy: just screw it in and connect to the terminal on the corner near the diskdrive on your motherboard.
If the cable is too short replace it with a floppy drive cable, not where it's twisted though, cut that off and use the straight-thru part of the cable.
To find out if you've connected the cable right (no marking on output board) fire up the mpc and see if it works. if it doesn't, connect it the other way around
If however, you have the 'unofficial' Mutec ADO/ADOII board as i do, you need to lose the SMPTE connectors OR remove the useless metal strip at the side of the board. I removed the SMPTE connectors, having nothing that'll cut metal.
