protools 001 rack and mpc 2000 (not xl) question

I have a MPC 2000 and a 001 rack for protools. On my MPC 2000 is has a stereo out. My question is do I connect the RCA plugs to the stereo out and hook it up to my protools

I know this sounds like a dumb question but I just purcahsed the equipment?

If you plan on using rca cables you will need to get some rca to 1/4 inch converters otherwise you will need some cables with a quarter inch connection on each end.

Just plug the cables from the stereo out on your mpc to the input(s) on your digi 001. For example...take one of your cables and plug one end into a stereo out on the mpc and then plug the other end into input 3 on your digi 001. When you go into pro-tools create a new track and select input 3 as the input for that track...press record on the track and when you hit the mpc you should hear your sounds coming out
