I don't use Fruity but I configure Reason to be the slave have my MPC as the master.

Basically , you have to have a few pieces of hardware 1st to allow yo MPC & Computer / Fruity all talk to one another.

I believe the MPC 1000 has a USB port so that part should be easy.

(I use the MPC 2000XL with a MIDI USB interface to make the connection)

But anyway, Fruity must have some type of settings for MIDI where you can tell it to recognize the MPC on a particular channel.

Try to get a Fruity manual and look up configuring External Midi Devices / Midi Connections are something like that.

Hopefully , this points u in the right direction.
