Are you trying to sample the keyboard? That is, are you trying to record the sound of the keyboard into the MPC?

Are you trying to play the sounds on the MPC from the keyboard?

Do you have a mixer or a mutltiple input soundcard?

We might be able to help you with a little more information.

You don't need a mixer to sample the sound into the MPC, however if you are trying to sequence the keyboard with the MPC you need a mixer

get a decent sized Yamaha or Mackie... Like a Yamaha MG12 or MG16... or Mackie 1402 VLZ. You gonna want room to expand in teh future as all studios do. So dont lock yourself in my getting a small mixer (like an 8 channel). You can get Yamaha MG16's for under $300. The mackies are a lil more. But you get good pre amps, and some of the best build quality in the industry for personel mixers. Stay away from Behringer. Ive had my share of Behringer products, Ive also owend Yamaha products and I now run a Mackie Board(which I will not switch out). My behringer died on me after about 4/5 months.
