I know the following can be done, but the manual doesn't explain it very well.

I want to set the MPC4k so that it starts sampling/recording when a particular pad is triggered.

For example, I have a sample called Snare1 on Pad A1 in my prgramme and I want it to, when played, trigger the MPC4k to start sampling.

That way if I am recording a guitarist or other live instruments, I know that once I have recorded the performance, I just have to line up the sample to the same place where Snare1 (Pad A1) is and everything will be in time.

I hope I have explained this well.

Any simple step by step instructions would be most appreciated.

Peace
