well, yeah im pretty sure and yeah it is a little fishy... but it works fine and everything. basically the indiv. outs are grouped in stereo pairs.
it doesn't really take much longer at all tho, u get used to it. a lot of mixers n stuff work like that too, but anyway yeah why make excuses.
tell me though, what would really make life easy is if u could assign the whole program at once to a particular output-- can the xl do that? that would be really non -fishy

i do love my mpc1k, it fits what i want which is a quick and creative and funky sounding sequencer, plus good drum samples, plus lots of memory so i can sketch down and save a bunch of long audio loops on compact flash. its helped my creative flow a lot since i got it. ...but that being said sometimes i do feel like akai just pulled out some features from it to justify it being cheaper than the 2k series.
