I recently purchased
MPC2000XL with a Microtech muti card reader
+ External Zip drive
My problem is that the SCSI ID for both the internal flash card reader I am using (Smart media) and external zip are set to 5. This means I cannot load or save to both sources in the same session. I have to turn off my MPC and unplug the scsi cable in order to access the flash card.
My question is how can I reset the SCSI ID for the internal card reader?
I cannot change the ID for the external zip because it is either 5 or 6 and the MPC is 6. Therefore, I can only change the internal card readers ID. I believe that each card slot has its own SCSI ID. If I switch the scsi ID of the slot Im using with one that I will never use will there still be a conflict if the slot is empty?
Please help

P.S. You may wonder why I want to use zips when I have a flash card. Back ups are precious!
