Ok Im calmed down!

Lets make a deal:

Akai updates one more time for free and leaves all the bugs out that were in 1.71. (and give us all the features that were promised to us in the first place) So we have a fast/ stable os, wich we deserve! And than you akaiers make some major paying update for the ones that wants them. But, admit it, this way you doing it now, is .... is ..... too mad for words... You akai people are crazy just thinking we accept OS 1.71 !!
I mean... 1.70 and 1.71 is a nightmare! OS 1.60 is better but wont handle OS 1.7 projects correctly! Wich means we HAVE to pay??? You clever sneaky weazels, .... this was all planned from the beginning? Bastards!

:?:

Now, dont get me wrong, its a wonderfull idea to make a major paying update! but give us a DECENT FREE os first! jeeezzzz  .... I am waiting for OS 1.8 for weeks now and than I read this :!:

My apologies for the 37 topic answers.. :? but I feel slapped in the face

Damn Feline you hit it on the nail I`m with ya.

But I hear that might not be necessary. Unless Sean is talking about his own programming on the side? :D

Ikke = first of what makes you think you can talk for the whole 4k community? (dont even bother answering that) , honeslty your like a little kid throwing all your toys out of his pram ,it really is pathectic , you spam this board with your immature uneducated opinions ,grow up and get a life or even-better get a MV. and whats even worse is you have gone back and edited your posts while i writing this...ffs
IMO Sean wouldn't even be proposing this if Akai/numark were gonna continue R+D for the 4k, note how he say formally the Akai guy, if anything we should be thanking him for taking the initative to do this, obvioulsy hes not doing out of love for us ..lol...but if this is what it takes for the 4k to continue in R+D i think its a real shame that more of us are not willing to support this and i for one am willing to support this idea, you can all waste your money on pointless law-suites, when the rest of us with enough brains to see this could be the only way to get more updates will be enjoying the new features , the 4k is the heart of my studio and and ive been a user since 1.20, it is the only sequencer that ive used and felt like can put down my musical ideas and expression with ease , imo the 4k has been finalized since 1.60 and if you arent happy with all the features it offered then you never will be. I feel ive had way more than my moneys worth out of this machine for a long time, yeah it is kinda sad that this is happening but for Christ's sake theres no need to be a idiot about it! and dont bother starting beef with me in this thread and spam it even more if you want to reply to me do it over pm,but i wont waste more of my time replying to it....lol..rant over

Who is willing to put out some $$$ to get OS updates with more features on the MPC4000?
I believe that V1.71 is pretty much the last free OS update from AKAI.

What are the most important features you'd want and how much would you pay for that?

Sean (formerly known as "the AKAI guy")

As for how much im willing to pay that would depend on how enticing the new features are and how stream-lined the OS would be, anything between £40-100..
And as for the features i want the most, i would have to think about that before posting them up... but robs individual track looping is a nice one.

oh dear.. I dont want new features! I make my own features. I just want a freakin stable OS without having to pay for it!
Wth auditioning and WITHOUT slow screen redraws and black screens of death! (go and read my uneducated posts, mofo)

Roland, Steinberg, Digidesign all charge for updates.
Not that I want to pay, but its good to know that someone will be updating the OS after Numarks TAKEOVER.
Come on boys I bought the Fantom X and the new OS cost 50 bucks. I didnt need the update so I didn't buy it.
