The blurry pics of the screen are suppose to be the following:

1. A picture of the startup screen so you can see O.S 3.10e and the "searching for SCSI" option.

2. The second screen pic is of the screen that pops up when you hit the "SOUNDS" button, choosing option 5 takes you to the sample screen and I was trying to take a pic of the 26.2 secs of sampling time. So you would know the memory is maxed.

Man I just read your post about giving up your mpc 60 so you might be down to one soon oh well I think eventually I think I want to collect every mpc from 60 to 4000 so then I use which ever one I want not too for away need 4000,3000,60 to be complete.

If i veer get a 3000 or 4000 i will ahve officially owned every MPC model made.. ( i never owned 2 at the same time though.. about to get another 2000 in addition to my 1000 thoguh)

Well...I sold the S2000 and my 2000xl's a while ago. They were ok, but actually harder to use than the 3k and 60. I'm able to get much more work done on the older MP's but like I said earlier, the 2000xl is good if your working in a real studio. The S2000 is ok, but the 3000 series are dynamite. Even though I don't mess with my S950 to deep, I like it more than the S2000....

What do you mean by a real studio could you ellaberate a litte more?

He means it needs post processing to sound good.

Actually, a 3000 is better in a real studio, 4 midi outs, I would say also a 60, because that's what they were designed for, the 2000 had bedrooms in mind.

Yeah thats what I meant Em. The 60 and 3000 are built for studio's like you mentioned, Standard 8 outs, 4 midi outs, 2 in's ect...but a 2kxl can be ill in a studio where you got equipment to compliment and beef up the sound. I'm in no way a mpc elitist and there is no way that I gonna kick the dead horse and argue that the 2kxl not a "real" mpc. I seen alot of kats get nice on much less than a mp.

Yeah I was surprised when you said that because I don't think the 2k sounds terrible at all. It's just not for me, but it sound is on no way a problem, just a preference, none superior IMO.

I don't think the 2k needs outboard to sound good, I think outboard on anything can make it sound better.
