akai dps 24 SMPTE and FCP....help

Hi sorry i dunno if im posting this in the right place.

I did a search but i didnt see anything about akai dps 24?

My friend want a DVD with SMPTE timecode.

Im using Final Cut Pro 4.5.

I dopped a Time Code filter on a Slug track.

Exported my project out as a QuickTime Movie and Encoded in DVD studio Pro onto a DVD.

My buddys machine doesnt read the Time Code.

How should i be doing this?
