Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

Whatsup everybody....

I'm considering MPC customisation for all u MPC lovers, and wanted to know how many of you might be interested in getting ur MPC's customised before i start buying the materials needed to do it??

Basically, my dad is a screen printer with loads of machines that do all kinds of cool things....he personally makes customised Tshirts...

Anyway, after asking my dad more about it im almost certain that i'll be able to make Customised MPC Stickers....

How this will work is there will be a base template for the MPC (initially just the 2000XL - but if it goes well then the other mpcs). This will be a big ass, see through sticker, with all of the holes in it for the pads, buttons etc.

The idea is that you paint ur MPC in which ever base colour you want, and then I can provide the sticker (which will have ur professionally printed custom designs/logos/whatever u want on it, and your own choice of writing to go above the buttons!!! - u can even choose which font u want!). I will then post the sticker to you, which will fit perfectly over ur mpc...and as your designs are printed in high quality....it'll look dope!!!!

Whats even better, is that because it is a sticker, if ever u get bored of the design, all u have to do is peel the sticker off and buy another one!

So.....anyone interested????

Sounds like a good idea to me.Alot of us have customized paint jobs (myself included)but don't have the template for the letters.I would be interested if the price is right and if you could get around to gettin' them for the 2k classic.Hope it goes well and Good luck.

question - does the sticker cover the whole front of the mpc or does it only cover where the text would go?

This a thread about custimzing your mpc in the mpc60/3000 section. A dude in their i think can do all the lettering for $20 plus $3 for shipping and handling

i got Math 140 this summer can you help?

uhhh yeah where was I cool anyone besides DJAMES (da man, son!) got any samples of their work that we all can see? Samples of the lettering and how it looks.

Another thing a friend of mine at work who does graffiti said I could easily get the MPC 60II body sanded and then airbrush it, spray a clear coat and BAYUM!
it would look just as good as anything Forat could do.
He hasnt clue unfortunately what kind of paint would i need to for a plastic surface. HE says he has hooked up a few trucks and carts with this paint he uses most of that stuff is fiberglass and plastic. So he assumed he could use it on the MPC cover.

I also stopped in at the my schools art department ( those guys are always doin' crazy sh%$, comon they go to school 4 years just to learn how to paint how cool is that?)
Yeah this cool surfer guy who teaches in the art department was feeling me when I told him about the custom MPC project. he said that he could get a student to hook me up on the silkscreening all I need would be layout.

So there are options out there laidies and gentlemen but you got to hussle! Like when you sell those CDRs out of your Momma's car trunk.
