Time Strech That Mofo

Got Mpc1k, Need To Time Stretch I Use Logic Express But The Algorithm Sucks Cos It Mashes Up The Audio To The Point Of Distortion, Anyone Know Any Nice Clean Transparent Audio Programs For Time Stretching Available For Mac?

Are you time-stretching more than 15-20% ? That's kinda like a limit when you want your audio to still sound good without too mutch distortion and stuff.

no its usually between 5 and 10% time stretching but the audio just gets really cluttered up and staggers. what do you use?

I used to use Prosoniq timefactory , program specific for time-stretch (not sure if it's available on mac) , worked really well , you had to type the original bpm , then the bpm you wanted and it stretched and saved it to an audio file. Now i use cubase , mutch faster , set your locators , select the audio part and voila , and it sounds good too.
I'm not really a frequent time-stretch user but it does what i want and still sounds good.

i just downloaded audacity last night and i have to say that i'm pretty impressed. it has a change tempo feature or something like the and it works quite well. and i only had time to mess with it for about 15-20 min. can't wait till i have a little more time to devote to it. anyway, check it out if you haven't already.

ableton live is the bombbbbbb

yep, have to agrree on the ableton call. move then groove markers around and change the whole feel of a loop. with a few different approaces to time streching too.

I've used a lot of different time stretching progs for mac and without doubt Serato, Pitch and Time is the most pro.
