midi connection problems....mpc 3k related

sup folks.. hopefully someone here can help me out..
ok i have an
-akai mpc 3k
-ensoniq asr 10
-korg triton classic

i have these 3 units hooked up in the following ways..
mpc is the master clock and the other 2 units are slaves..
i am coming
[B]mpc out-> to triton in
then
triton out -> to asr in
then asr out -> to mpc in.

now everything is synced up perfect in the sense that the asr and the triton both recognize and sync to the mpc..
the problem is that if i hit track 8 on the triton it triggers whatever sound i have loaded in track 8 of the asr 10 also..
this also happens vice-versa..
anyway to stop this..??
what i have been doing is lowering the volume of track 8 on the triton if i want to use track 8 on the asr 10...
is there an easier way to do this???

I don't know anything about the triton, but the problem sounds like there's a midi collision. find out the midi assignments of your asr:

Start here... Edit->System-> Midi in Mode

It all depends on what you're tryin to accomplish. I would set it up this way:

MPC MIDI OUT A -> TRITON MIDI IN
MPC MIDI OUT B -> ASR 10 MIDI IN

Now, depending on which keyboard you wanna use as a trigger, you would also do the following:

TRITON or ASR 10 MIDI OUT -> MPC IN A

If you like how you've already set everything up, then do this:

TRITON MIDI THRU -> ASR 10 MIDI IN

You will need to turn the volume down on the TRITON, if you don't want to trigger two notes at the same time.
