Help! iomega atapi Zip-drive wont work...

iomega atapi Zip-drive wont work...

mpc: 2kxl (os:1.14)
zipdrive: iomega atapi 100mb (with jumper on master)

the power is working but the drive doesent show up in the load\save screen what is wrong? im using a old computer ide cable..

and yes, i have tried searching...

do yo have mpc2000 or 2000xl?

Check your IDE ribbon cable. Make sure that you have pin 1 of the cable seated on pin 1 of the MPC's IDE controller. Pin one on the IDE cable is identified by a red stripe. Have you tested the zip drive in a regular computer to see if it actually works ? Finally, if you have an external SCSI zip drive, you can try upgrading to OS 1.20 and see if that resolves the issue. OS 1.20 is supposed to address some issues that come up when trying to install an IDE/ATAPI device. Let us know.

i'm sitting with the zip-drive plugged in to the computer now, it works..
so, i'll try updating the os next..
