you probably sample them right but you have to assign them in a program. it could be a new pgm made on the 1k. you go to mode - program PAD7. find the sample then put it in the pgm then you can go to mode- trim. you should now see it.

ya its really strange I mean I do the same as with all my other shit the only difference here is the sample is super short as I intend to use it as a loop to generate some sound.... ??

hmm. weird.

i once started up my mpc fresh, and recorded about 16-20 different samples from my turntable, i left them named all automaticcally, e.g. sample01, sample02.

Anyhoo.

after about an hour, basically once i'd finished sampling them all in, i went to trim mode, and noticed that sample04, was named " ", i.e. nothing at all. very weird. i then went to the program editor, and scrolled through the sample that was assigned to my first pad, i scrolled through the list: sample01, sample02, sample03, blank (as in nothing there), sample01. i.e. it kept on flipping though the 4 samples when i had recorded 20 or so into RAM. only problem i've ever had with it. turned it off, turned it on, and it was as good as gold.
