Akai S950 - Is it worth it ?

i think i asked this before and someone said it was alright, but i wanted a second/third opinion.

elmac, or anyone else, do you know if it's alright to use HD disks in a stock s950?

i know the floppy drive in my 60 was replaced with a newer one so i have no problems whatsoever using HD disks in that unit, but the guy who sold me the s950 included some sample disks and i noticed they are all DD disks so that's why i am concerned.
