vinyl engraving

anybody got any links on information about how to read the engravings on the dead wax part of records? i heard once that u could tell alot from the writings.... like maybe websites

just read the inscriptions, that is your best bet...

sometimes you can find some funny stuff enscribed on records...

yea i know that but i heard u can tell like what copy it is and what year and all that jazz

like you can tell if its a repress or an original...

if its a hiphop record and it says TRC, odds are that its a repress/bootleg...
TRC does mad bootlegs, most of them try to pass as imports...

its just like the work order number from the vinyl plant. Like where it was and the order number and shit. alot dont even have em.

some even have phone numbers or websites... little slogans or sayings too... just keep your eyes open, youll find some interesting inscriptions...

readin's them useless if you don't know what they mean....

i mean to an unknown its jus numbers.. but to a vet like binger it tells him work order # and plant #...
