OK, Who would pay for new OS updates?

However Sean W.if you have other ideas and functions that you would like to add to the 4k please give us some specifications especially if you could impliment the original remix features that were scrapped back in Dec 2004?

Sean never said Akaipro would charge for updates.

You should have asked Akai if they have any OS updates planned instead of asking if they was gonna charge for em..

Id pay for this: instead of 16 levels only usable on one sample, id like 8 levels for two samples(spread across all 16 pads accessable simultaniously) or 4 levels for 4 samples on 4 pads each...

This would make for some great sounding drumming, I have wished for this since the 2000xl.

I'd probably pay for an OS update, if Mr Roger Linn wrote it - I could imagine a fresh eye could really make a big difference to the 4k

like many, individual track lengths and the possibility of streaming from disc would make the biggest difference to my workflow. I am surprised Akai never thought to develop the midi processing side more with harmonisers, arpeggiators etc the 4k could really be a lot more than it is at the moment.
