Good feed back yall. Thanx for the pro's and cons. I meditated on both options and made my final choice. I'm sticking with the the classic 2K. Really I just need to add my 8 out board and I'll have it maxed out to the fullest.

On top of that I asked around for a trade in quote and dudes were saying anywhere from $600 to $800 which was not to positive for me. Cuz my 2K is in priceless mint condition, and you can't beat that. I know all the MPC family can work the same power, they just have a little different features, but I'm at home with the 2K. And will continue making the grimmy beats off my joint.

Go ahead and do it, you gain more than you lose..
People with all their little quirks about pointless features and buttons.
I'd rather have all of that the 2kxl offers cause MAYBE you will find a use for it and it will change your music insto something MORE that you like. If you don't like the features just don't use them but I'm SURE there are some features that are VERY attractive to you or else you WOULDN't be asking this question, right?

True, I found the extra options on the XL pretty dope, xcept the jog weel stands out better on the 2k. If I end up making the trade move I'm looking more into the end of the year. Currently I'm gonna stick it out with the 2K. I guess my thing is I would have to start over with the upgrades on the XL such as the SCSI, Memory, 8 outs etc.... Things which I have already taken care of on the 2K.

i love my classic 2k, maybe ill get another mpc (either a 60 or a 4k), but ill always keep my classic. I hate that jog wheel on the xl also.
