That's like getting a fat women and bragging saying she's a 30 or off the scale cause she big as three dimes.

Calling names doesn't really change anything, just helps to explain why someone would buy a piece of gear and say the only problem with it is the sound.

And you guys wonder what happened to music.

I would say at least go ahead and get the O.S., that will put you in the 3k operating game which is mandatory for the 60.

He didn't say the 4000 sounded bad, just that the 3000 sounded better, by how much? who knows, but I don't see anything wrong with his decision.

3.10 for the 60 is mandatory as far as I'm concerned. I would like to hear from hardcore 2.xx OS users, just cuz somepeople have OS 2.xx for a while before they get the upgrade ;)

well ill let u in on my frustrations so far...firstly...i keep forgetting to not sequence until i sample all my sounds... cuz everytime you sample ur sequence gets erased.. second.. i been sitting here and im pretty sure there is no way to chop on the 2.12... third... 5 second sample limit for each sample...WTFFFF..fourth... cant change a sound to note off so when u let go of pad it stops.... other than that im already feelin it way more than my 2kxl i sold... witht he upgrades im 100% this machine is for me...

By elmacaco Wed Jun 01, 2005 7:32 pm
Damn it's funny you can feel it even with those limitations.

i like limitations..i think it makes me more creative ... but 2.12 limits are a little much...and i like the overall feel of the 60 compared to the 2kxl...i love how everythign is basically on a huge button...its great..

By elmacaco Wed Jun 01, 2005 7:38 pm
Yeah it is, isnt it ;) It's funny, I got bit by the 60 bug really inexplicably, and my friends were all tellin me to get a 2000 and about all the features, and I was like, nah, I know the 60 is for me. It was my first sampler besides the sk-1.

Nah El his exact words were:

"The ONLY thing I can find wrong about the 4000 is the sound. If I wanted something pristine, clean, shiny , I'd use a computer. "
