Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

I was reading in the latest Scratch mag how most ppl use the MPC in combo with their workstations. I don't sample that much, so I think this is a good setup. However, since I don't own a MPC yet(Roland MC-307 & Roland SP-808 setup), I want to know how would you produce. Sample each track on a pad, or sample the sequence in a pad or what? Give me some tips so I can jump in this game... Holla

Simply, how would you use the MPC and a Workstation together? If I had something like a ASR-10, and I made a sequence, where would the use for the MPC come into play? I assume just different samples..I plan to get that Phantom X6, then cop the MPC

Most people I know just sequence their different workstations and synths with the MPC and just record the output into pro tools, daw, cubase, whatever. It really wouldn't make since to have an MPC with just one workstation that already has a sequencer. It is however a lifesaver sequencing many different sound modules.
