external scsi card reader for mpc?

Im have a hell of a time finding a internal scsi card reader to throw in the old mpcxl, does anyone know if I can use an external card reader?

would external be slower?

I hate zips, i lost two disks from a wacky usb drive i was using with my computer to back up and edit files...

Internal and external are exactly the same. The extenal is an internal they just put in a box.

wow, enough with the technical mumbo jumbo just tell me if it works!
