Did any1 try this out yet?

Does the 1.45 version really let you burn WAV. tracks on to a CD from the 4k, so then you can put that into a comp. to burn as audio? I've never tried it, I'm still having trouble installing the 1.45 version if any could help with that, I've downloaded all the software it say's I need from akaipro.com but it just says the 4k's not found,anyone know why this is? thanks, I really appreciate it.

pretty sure that you won't be able to put anything on cd t'ill the next os, and as far as hooking up the software , if its a mac put the driver in the extensions folder and restart your comp.

Have you tried it with the new 1.45 version?, b/c I heard people have been doing that? By the way I got a PC, and it says that the 4k was not found. Thanks again.

Yes, I did it in the latest OS. And it works well.
I've saved a multi with programs, sequences and wav's to disc and it works well.
So if you want to wait until the next OS, it's up to you.

this is easy to do, but why would you want to do it? in order to burn a wav of your "song" to CD you need to setup the sequences etc, then go to record, switch to monitor the main outs, set the time for longer than the "song" is and then hit record..then hit play...once it's finished, save it to a folder, restart your mpc, load the wave file (sample) then burn memory to CD (unless you have autoload stuff in which case you'll need to turn autoload off)....that's very long, though..the other way to do this is to record as said above and then use ak.sys to save the wav file to your pc....

That's a good idea. But, the mpc4k burner will only save the recorded sequence as a data wav file, which stand alone cd player will not play it. Only the mpc4k and a pc cdrom will recongize it.

It's better to use aksys to move the recorded sequence file to the pc and use musicmatch to burn the wav file to a cd burner, like it does mp3's. Once musicmatch convert the recorded sequence wav file to a audio wav and burn it to a cd. The disk will be finalize with musicmatch and it will play in any cd player.

right...that's what the thread starter asked about...burning .wav to CD for use in computer...I didnt' see anybody say anything about burning for use in a regular cd player....and I mentioned the ak.sys transfer in my response as well as the "easier" method.
