Sound module samples

I posted this iin the wrong spot, (my bad tutor  :laugh: )
I was gonna propose a sound module swap, peeps list sound modules they have, then we divide up the modules between us, sample them and burn em to cd's, each person samples 1 module and recives the mpc programs from evryone else, in xchange for a week of work sampling their sound module. thats mad sound modules, in mpc programs, multisampled.
if peeps use the mpc editor v3.0 it would go mad fast and be really easy to use.
whaddya think? I would coordinate all this and handle the burning of cd's for people, (ie you would only have to make one cd) and you'd get mad cd's with mad samples on it. an easy way to avoid the 20-30 bux each they charge on ebay.
convesely, My website is about to launch and I can set up an area with a password so that peeps can just go online and download the sample cd's themself and just burn it.

we should do this.

Only thing is that some catz have mpc3k, 4k, 2xl, 1000.........so formats are all differant.

we'd also need a standard:

1.all samples saved in .WAV format

2.everyone samples the same notes i.e. must have C1, C2, C3, C4. Long sustain, short sustain. Nothing more, nothing less.

3.specific labeling of notes i.e. synthC3, or dirtybassC3

4. Must use sequencer to trigger samples at 127 velocity.

5. wet or dry?

6. mono or stereo?

If we set these standards, 1, 2, & 3 would take care of transfering samples to differant mpc's because if the program was not compatible, at least the person could rebuild the programs.

I already have MANY of my Triton Extreme and Triton Classic sounds in 44khz /16bit format cause I use them as samples in my 2kxl and I pass them to my less than rich friends who don't have keyboards and millions of sounds like I do.

I like this idea too, I got some motif samples, mo phatt samples, and alot of other stuff I will help give to the cause!

Im pretty close to finishing what i got to share. i sampled all the raw Rom sounds from my triton. Im looping them.

Its taking sooooo **** long to do this.

But ive got 430 sounds.

They are the basic waveform sounds, not preset sounds. THey are dry, no effects, no lfo, modulation, decay settings, etc. So you can layer them and make your own sounds just like you would on the triton.

I meant this more for the mpc4000, cause you can use it more like a synth. But They will work in the 2xl. as they are in wav format.

There is a piano sample, and lots of good organs, clavs. They all sound pretty good dry........but with a little reverb, and some layering, you can make em sound like the real deal.

I noticed that with alot of the preset sounds on the triton......there are not much to them. THere are a couple layers of the rom sounds with heavy effects......maybe some filter or modulation. But If you utalize the effects and simaltaneous function on the mpc, youll be able to really create your own patches.......

You can also load them up in a software sampler then export them using chainer.
