Shuttle Pro controller

This is a controller. check out the website. does anyone have one? i'm picking it up tomorrow.

thought about getting one of those a couple years ago. looks cool.

I was gonna get one, but I couldn't find out if it's assignable to any audio programs. I know it works with logic and final cut pro, cuz apple makes them, and they partnered to make presets for the buttons. The apple store cats told me that for protools, or pretty much anything, you could assign the jog/shuttle to the transport playhead controls. The buttons can be windows or views, but I don't think you could open plugs or perform automated functions unless you write scripts and then assign buttons to open and run thescripts. Seems real dope, but I don't jog/shuttle hardly ever. Seemed like a waste unless you rock Final Cut Pro, but I could be overly skeptical. Let us know how it turns out !

How is that been integrated with Maya? Some one know?? How can i use it wth maya?

i don't know. i just copied what's on the box. i use it for nuendo and protools.

now keep in mind that this thing is totally configurable. but it comes with presets for the list that i mentioned earlier.

now retro, to answer your question, the jog and shuttle wheels are somewhat obvious and it comes with place cards for the top 9 buttons so for protools there's play/stop; fast forward; right marker; rewind; left marker; record, etc... you can follow the preset for each application or you can configure each button to what you want. (ie, for the row of 5 buttons, you can put play/stop on the first button or the second button and you can put record on the last button) you see where i'm going with this? the jog wheel can be configured to go bar by bar or frame by frame or minute by minute.....

This would really be sh*t if it was wireless. I got wireless mouse for my laptop rig that I can't live without.
