Say ive got a string sample assigned to one pad.
When recording in the Matrix, is there a setting which will disable the sound cut?
by the sound cut i mean when i record the sample once, i cant record on that recorded area again.

e.g. If ive got the string playing in bar 1 i want it to carry on playing over the same sample thats been recorded again in bar 2.

Anyone know?

I don't know the 4000 so this might not be what you mean, but on the 2K, you just go into parameters and change the mode field (i think its called mode) to POLY, as opposed to MONO.

In PROGRAM mode, go to the PITCH screen. In the column that says POLY, you can enter the number of times you'd like to trigger your string sample, before it starts to cut itself off.

Apply the same sample to another part and you should be able to record over it without deleting any of the original
