loops are dope
and who are you to say what everybody should and shouldnt do?????
1) Loops are dope. I use loops. But I also don't loop sh!t that isn't chopped up and filtered/altered a least a li'l bit. If your loop sounds like the song it was sampled from, enough that it's recognizable as that song, you didn't create anything, you just remixed it.
2) Don't get all defensive, son. I'm not saying what anyone should do as far as what's right and wrong for them. But as far as sample clearance and sh!t like that goes, it's MUCH MUCH more cost effective to chop up the sample and make your own sh!t from it than paying to use someone else's song. If you paid attention to my previous post, then you'd realize that I was trying to drop that link about copyrights, not my two cents on producing. If you wanna loops other people's sh!t, fine. But that's why you gotta pay 'em for it. 'Cause it's thier song, not yours. If you chop it up enough for it to actually be your creation, then you don't gotta pay a dime. You see what I'm saying?
Peace1
