SCSI Hard drive installation problem

I just bought two 9bg SCSI hard drives and installed one into my pc but when i my computer the device does not show up as an available drive. I just wanted to know if therte is something else i need to do because apparently the device is working properly.

well, u need a controler for the hard drive. the computer doesn't recognize it just like that..

I have a controller and it does have something to do with mpc music production because without this i cannot save my beats. It is an Advansys controller and the pc does recognise the drive but it does not show up in the my computer option there must be something else i am missing? It is set to ID #0, is there something i need to change in the BIOS?
