is there a way to have your programs always start off with certain parameters set, for example always a 40 release, a 0 sustain, one shot etc

If you have a hd install make an autoload folder in the directory and save your current setting in this folder. Go to Global page turn autoload on. Now when you turn on your 4k your settings will always load. Check the newbie bible for more tips along with the pdf reference manual.

there is also another way which is to go to hit the default button on the
f key. you can do this for example in the mixer page which means that once you make all your rootings, and press default, the next time you
switch on the mpc, it will go back to those settings..

Can you go into detail? I cant find no default F key..

Which os are you using... I think it is f2...

There is no default key in program, multi or mixer page.

Im using OS 1.70

I went through the reference manual but couldnt find anything except for the track and sequence default F2 key. Is this what you mean?
