Any of yaw try to procreate with your SP 1200 or s950 yet??

Anyone here attempt to stick his penis in one of the small outputs of the SP 1200, s950 or Emax yet?? What about the Studio 440?? She's real pretty! If we start to procreate now,we can have a generation of 12 bit to continue the line! Tic Toc, Drumatic, Lo Pass, this right up your alley!!

All jokes aside,These "I got a 12 bit sampler, now I'm God" Post are really out of hand. I bet some of the beatmakers in forums who read these post
are LOL are sayin "Look at These Ni55as"! Why not Talk about some Functions and some tricks on these machines?? No disrepspect to Tic Toc

It's all good.....I don't bullshit about how many seconds of sample time i've got. I'm working with 26 seconds on the mpc60....that's real physical ram....not virtua. My S950 rivals that time but with a lower frequency rate I can double that.....so...uhhh yeah....anyway......Anybody wanna battle us bring it!

Yeah well the more people have these things the more discussion we can have about it, as long as everyone RTFM for the basics and tries shyt out before asking on here, we can get deep. We've been getting there on a few occasions.

To me the 3000 is so d*mn close to the 60.
When you are talking about the 60exp it is not like you aren't talking about the 3000.
It goes back to the fact that the MPC60/S900/S950 are 12-bit with 16-bit over-sampling.
It makes them really close to the sound of the 3000, while still sounding different.

As far as tricks and tips, they are to be learned, discovered and embraced.
That's like people asking what records to go looking for when diggin'.

If you are looking for tricks and tips then you should just buy beats and be done.
That's not to say that methods aren't discussed on a regular, but the better discussions are when we talk about the different ways we do things not how do you.

It's some dudes on here that I have developed some respect for and they should know who they are even if I don't say it.
Sometimes it's how they carry themselves, sometimes it their level of knowledge sometimes it just because they got attacked for no real reason.
Then there are some dudes that are real consistent in their twisted ways so you wonder about their agenda.
Still none of this sh*t should get personal, just flip it and keep moving.

Back to the point tho, 12-bit is a reality for this forum. The 900/950 is a reality because it's in heavy rotation amongst MPC users (60/1000/2000/3000/4000) so it gets into a lot of discussions (same as the Emax/ASR/SP).
With 60's you are generally going to need an additional sampler, more than likely used so where does that take you? Back to 12-bit again.
Right now a lot of 3000 users have changed to 60's, 4000's and even 2000's, so the 3000 only type discussions are kinda low.
Which takes you back to more 12-bit discussion.

This place is just a community, made up of different individual using the legacy MPC's (60/3000) so that in itself drives conversions toward older technology to some degree.

Like they always say if you aren't interested in a Post just don't read it.
It's pretty safe to believe that the moderators would handle it if it was a problem.

You know...I wouldn't call out someone on beats just cause they haven't or don't post beats in the Your Music forum. After getting to know some of the cats on these forums my experience has shown me that the dopest beatmakers are the cats that DON'T post their beats.

I'm serious. I don't know how many cats I talked to on AIM or MSN who have sent me beats that never posted in Your Music that are way doper than the cats who post. Sorry to the cats that post...hell when I had an MPC (should be getting one very soon again) I was a posting cat too, but I'm being honest.

I actually bought a 60 a long time ago, and a week after it came my (now ex-)girlfriend robbed me for about $3000 and vanished. So I had to sell the 60. This is but one example of about 5 different times I tried to get a 60 and it didnt happen.

It's called being proud of success and accomplishment from hard work.

Now, lemme address a FEW things. One - you said this forum should be about sharing tips and tricks, right? Well...I'm new to the s950, and your gear list shows me youve had it for a while---care to share some tips and tricks with me? I've never used one, and cant wait.

And as for how you making beats has to do with anything...well, no offense, I see you coming to this forum to ASK for help, and to comment on the ideas and beats of others, but I havent seen you offer a whole lot of help to others here, nor show your skill/style in beatmaking. You cant keep taking from the forum and not give to it as well---its supposed to be a community of give and take.

So, please (and Im being serious and humble right now, not being sarcastic)---please offer a complete newbie on the s950 some tricks and tips to help me get started. I already have the s900 and s950 manual and am reading them today, but any hands on tricks would be appreciated.

the gear, Im just glad I have what I wanted, finally, after tons of bullsh*t. I dont claim to be the best, I know I can always improve, but in this day and age of 16 and 24 bit samplers, 12 bit is one of those things that you realize is your style the hard way. I got tired of having to process my sounds on the XL to get them to sound the way I wanted them to sound in my head....and finally woke up one day and realized I was trying to make an XL sound like a 60.
