We all have views and opinions that someone else may disagree with but that's just part of life.
No reason to get heated.
Music changes, evolves and recycles constantly so everything goes full circle.
Me personally I can listen to any type of music doesn't matter but guess what I can't stand Run DMC or the Beastie Boys.
Own all their sh*t because I can appreciate it but you won't catch me listening to it.
But due to my appreciation of it I can understand why someone would like it or think that it great.

When the Hip Hop history books are written do you realize that because Pete changed up, it will look like not having CL caused it?
Since a lot of SS1 and the PeteStrumentals were tracks leftover from the PR/CL days.

I am a Hip-Hop purist I suppose. I've been doing this for 10+ yrs. If I was in this culture strictly for the moolah, i'd have retired along time ago. Of course I want to get paid, but I've got a conscience to deal with. I can rock shows, run my recording studio, and keep putting out LP's independantly, and still sustain a healthy living. I don't need to dumb down for nobody to do that.

If your comfertable dumbing down your sound to make bread, thats you. I'm not with that, and I don't support that. I don't love equipment kid, I love my family.

Like ya'll always say, "If it's hot it's hot, if it's not it's not". I haven't heard anything hot from PR in several yrs. You might beg to differ, but thats a matter of opinion. Their will never be a resolve to that argument.

As for cats making music for me, thats true. But with that comes the room for criticism. I don't sit around criticizing all day, but in the context of this thread, I decided too. Someone expressed a thought about PR, and to some degree, I felt the same way. So I exercised my right to EXPRESS my OPINION. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'd like to make it clear though, I don't hate on music being made with a certain peice of gear, and I don't hate on all Hip-Hop being produced today just because it's new. Thiers a few albums i've got alota respect for that came out between 99 and 05. In fact, one of them is BegBorrowSteel by Count Bass D. Produced on an MPC 2000 (classic) + Akai S3000XL rack. So lets kill all this 12-bit lover affair shit including my name (Directed at Philly).
