Tracking

How do u guys go about tracking? I know the basics but i dont know how to track and then recreate your song using recording software(i.e. Cubase SX). I know how to just record my different sequneces into Cubase but im trying to learn about tracking so i can mix my tracks better.

Solo out each track from the MPC into your software.

I.E.

Track 1 MPC to Track 2 SW

Track 2 MPC to Track 2 SW

and so on...............

Make sure that you always record each track separate on the MPC and you should have no problems. Once all your tracks are tracked into SW then you have FULL control over your mix and each instrument (sound) recorded into your software.
