elmacaco wrote:Philly, you are being wowed by the hype, many of us have been through all this, you have dollar signs in your eyes and you swallowed the progress hype hook line and sinker. You think you're telling us anything new? Most of the new hip hop producers are the dumbest motherjumpers you'll ever meet. just plain dumb as rocks, you know what they have in their gear tyhat makes 'their sound' an engineer, yeah that's right,m they slap a beat together and the engineer gets it sounding right, and then, they have some ghost producers where they don;t even make the beats anymore, just pick the ones they want to steal.

If all you care about is your paycheck and your image, the you are gonna want a machine that you just push a button and a 'hot beat (tm)' pops out. if you are a musician, and not a crackdealer turned pop culture hustler, you choose your weapons carefully. I am actually surprised that you are as dumb as you look philly, you posted a lot of good links that seemed like you had a bit more upstairs that you apparently do. We get your point better than you do, that's why we understand that it is no revelation. So OK, it is a means to an end. Then what? What is your end? What is your artistic vision? WHat helps you achive the music you want to make? What music do you want to make? or do you just want to make money making beats? Nothing wrong with that, but if you're gonna be shallow, don't try and tell others there is nothing in the depths just because you haven't been there.

So being 12 bit in the 2005 is the only way to make "Deep" "Real" Hip Hop?? (LOL)

Let me be Frank: It's Over. Hip Hop as Desimated, It has been choke out of the existence. The only fans of "underground" hip hop is Whites kid who walk around with backpacks or either college kids who Don't I Truly Identify with n*gga though they "think" they do.(They listen to Sage Francis, but Sigel is corny!!) It ain't NEVER Gonna be like it was in it's heyday! IF NOT GETTIN PAID THEN YOU'RE A HOBBIST!
My Man had dope Sellin Ram squad n*ggas Feedin him cash to make in beats 90's. Now he can get on the phone with Cam'ron and sell him a beat or with Ghost or with Skillz,in fact he just did 8 Beats for Skillz for 75 G's!!!! Now I invested alot of doe and time in Gear and Diggin etc, I'm tryin to recoup at the very least! So This Whole 12 bit thing is stupid talk. Land some Tracks with a nothing but raw 12 bit beats, cuz the MPC 2000 and 4000 are wack (sheesh!) I'm still on the Grisle, ask about me......

To All the Wetdreamers the is Site on its way!!

Philly-

You assume to much.

Have you ever pushed 60,000 copies of your music yet? Have you ever seen 100k in one year yet?

Success is relative n*gga. Success for me is making 60k a year and driving a Lex that I own out right, and a house I owe 200G's on.

Maybe a million dollar mansion and a Ferrari equals success to you, you get what i'm saying?

Whatever makes you happy. Where it stands, it sounds like you'd prolly sell poison to your own people if it was profitable.

Philly: "So being 12 bit in the 2005 is the only way to make "Deep" "Real" Hip Hop?? (LOL) " Did I ever have beef with the gear you use? You are the one that said it can't be done and called US out for no reason than to just run your mouth.

Also, who ever said I make Hip Hop? I don't. You are the one that sees some sort of disadvantage with using 12 bit gear, no one else seems too.

Like I predicted, you've seen someone's success and now you think you know what it's all about, takin their word as gospel, cool, but like I said your opinion had a predictable. I am not black nor am I over 30, but why is it that people think hip hop musicians get just from being black instead of being talented? It's like peopl think hip hop is so easy and dumb that anybody can do it as long as they are black? is that the only thing you got going for you philly? because it really seems like it now that someone flashes some cash and you have gotten all starry eyed. You actin like you got that 75G's not your boy, maybe you should ease off his nuts and get serious instead of straight greedy? if it is a Business, you'll need your wits about you.

Maybe you hanging out with too many penn Med students or something, I don;t think I know one person that is into sage francis, and I know more black people into doom and madlib than I know white people into them. So maybe it;s just where you hang out, are you their token so you lash out now like 12 bit has anything to do with sage francis? What is this purist BS, why dont you just call me a liberal and be on your way. I have my opinions, but don;t pretend to know all of them because I use 12 bit, I never said that everyone should use 12 bit, but obviously you don;t know what can be done with 12 bit, because you probably just want to get a motif and rock some presets, cuz if you wanna sell beats like that you should cut out the sampling vinyl if you really want to recoup.

Its obvious that you are not a man at all, seeing that even in just wanting to be successful you want to trash the very people who have given you advice on every **** question you've asked and probably taught you more than you ever knew before, but you've got it all figured out now, I guess you just don;t need us 12 bit losers anymore, I bet you think we all live in mom's basement like you. Well dude, I cant believe that your true colors have come out like that, you really are a wretched human, go get yourself blinged out, kep your 950 in the closet, rock your 1994 MPC3000 on your own, I aint helpin you anymore, ungrateful ****. I cant believe the attitude you pulled, are you 18 or something?

OK Lo let's have some fun with that.

Maybe it makes more SENSE if you remember they were done by CommonSENSE.

"like for my SENSE to make SENSE i gotta have at least 1200 Cents in my pocket cus the SENSE you trying to make I'm not SENSING but my spider SENSE is tingling so i think COMMON must have SENSED an idea on those two albums.....he told NO ID what to do on every beat and how to program it cus he had more SENSE than NO ID? is that what you're saying NTALEC?"

Sorry Ntalec - we feel you're trying to say that because a young Common Sense was the emcee over those beats that is what made his production better? I think we're confused could you elaborate on that comment towards Lo Pass? Thanks homeboy.....
