I'm looking to get a mixer, something to route the 8 outs of my XL to. Can anyone recommend a few, digital; hardware / software?

CPU style. When I say mixer, i mean mixing board, something in which to record trax to, taking advantage of each individual track level.

You can take advantage of each individual track level inside the MPC.
PC, software for multitracking, I use VEGAS, every now and then Adobe Audition but not much. Wave editing I use Sound Forge. Premaster in Vegas. Master in Sound Forge.

Thanks fot the info, but this is all stuff I know. I want to let my tracks breathe. I'm so, so tired of everything coming out of one or two outputs, things get drowned out, doesn't really bang like I want it to. maybe i'm not asking the right question. I want to be able to control sounds outside of the MPC. The MPC eq can only allow for so much...
