I am trying to find a better way to organize my collection of sounds. The way I'm doing it right now is taking forever going through the kits one by one and renaming, deleting and numbering sounds, For example changing sound115 to SN 1, SN 2, etc.
Then block copying them into one big folder. Organizing them using the right click folder options to separate them. Then copying the separated sounds to a new individual folders snares, kicks, hats etc.
Is there a piece of software available that will allow me to preview sounds and auto label the sounds within a numerical range? Or maybe just a better way of doing it?
Like Highlight my sounds make prefix of SN then it automaticly labels and numbers the other sounds? I hope this makes sense.
I'm using soundforge 6 currently to preview and edit my sounds
