Is anybody familiar with tracking into pro tools LE?? I'm wondering if after a drum sequence is done in the mpc3000 and I want to track it into pro tools how do I sync it to record as soon as I hit the record button in pro tools? I've seen it done where the person hits play on the mpc300 but nothing plays only until the record button is pressed in the pro tools track and the tempo is matched, then it takes in the audio. Can any one help me please? Thank you very much.

You need to go to the tempo/sync page by hitting that button, an set the 3000 to respond to smpte or mii clock or whatever you are using to sync it to PT, make sure at the bottom it says Sync ON!

so this runs the second you hit play?
Using MMC and MC or MTC with nuendo/logic/whatever, the recording app needs like one bar to read and analyze the sync signal coming from the mpee. I wish I could get around this.

With the 2kxl of course...

there is no way "around it" 100%. No matter how powerful your computer is, or how you tweak it, there will be always be some degree of latency (the lag from the computer) involved. Make that one or two bar blank intro, and you're good to go, and it's really not that much of a sacrifice of your time to sequence one last empty bar and put it as the first step on song mode of your MP before you record.

Good look on sharing that bit of advice, TicToc. I was having similar issues when I record at our studio that uses protools. The down beat was always getting cut 4 some reason. This will mos def resolve that issue. Uno
