2000xl programs problem

i can play 4 programs at the same time right?

so i have one program filled with autochromatic assign of a bass note

and i have another program with varios drums

i make a track (by overdub) with the bass notes and i make a track (by overdub) with the drums

I WANT TO PLAY THE DRUMS AND BASS AT THE SAME TIME

but it will only let me play the program which is selected. how do i select multiple programs?

You only have 64 pads. One program is 64 pads.
Split your pads on one program to equal 32 drums and 32 bassnotes..

A track can ONLY access 1 drum/1 program/64 pads at one time.

can a SEQUENCE only access one progam at a time too?

i thought there was a way to play 4 programs at once

Just go to a pawn shop and pick up any CHEAP dj mixer (you can probably find one for $20) so that you have your phono ins.

i have a complete dj setup. technics mixer. how does this help?

Lemme ask you some questions then.

How many PROGRAMS at 1 time in a DRUM?
How many DRUMS can a TRACK have?
How many TRACKS can a SEQ have?

what does it mean on pg 111 of manual where it says "four programs can be played back at the same time" ?

only four programs can be assigned to a sequence.
if you push shift+6 that will let you assign which programs you want to use in that sequence.

that right...but you cant simultaneously record sounds from all or any two at the same time on the same track.....

ok i dont want to record them at the same time. i only want to PLAY THEM BACK at the same time

You still aren't understanding, a seq can have MANY tracks that play back ONLY 4 programs at a time.

you have to have your programs assigned to different tracks.
if not your going to keep recording over what you just sequenced.
better yet, go over your steps with us for real step by step
cuz the more info we have the better we'll be able to help you out

You seq can only have 4 drums at 1 time.
You tracks can only have 1 drum at 1 time.
Your pads can only play 1 program/drum at 1 time.
