Technical questions for the MPC2000xl and the MPC2000

the EB-16 is an effects proccessor. Ya know, chorus, distortion, reverb, flange, phase, all that 'ish. I don't have it, so I'm not sure what exactly it has, but I know it has the ones that I just named. The MFC42 is a filter.LOW PASS, HIGH PASS, BAND PASS, and NOTCH. while a filter is a cool effect, I use it more for sampling. When I sample off vinyl, if I only want the mids, I turn the Band-Pass filter on, and sample like that. Honestly, I think the MFC42 is one of the illest filters out there.I love it and use it all the time! I've also heard good things about the EB-16. I know this didn't completly answer your question, but I hope it cleared things up at least a little.peace-CP

The MFC42 costs more than the EB16. Figure about $400 for the MFC42 with the special mounting bracket and cabling. They sell overseas for a bit less. You are wasting your money on this failed product. I own one and never use it. So much more can be done in software that there is no point in buying such a limited filter. Or better yet, buy an MPC4000 instead of spending hundreds of dollars on 2000XL upgrades.
