if you have neve soldered before bring it to your local electonics repair shop, or start practicing on some garbage circuitboards (maybe some old kids keyboards) .you dont want to screw up your mpc.

Same happened here. Had to get on a small plane that didn't have overhead baggage room so they loaded it seperately...it must of been crushed by other baggage. Everything works fine, but the wheel is a pain to turn...I have to turn it in a unique way for it to work.
My wheel is jack'd up, but it still turns. I'll get it fixed someday.
VST service will fix it for about 75.00.

i wish the xl had the same jog wheel as the original 2000. i like that one better. it feels more solid and it has that little rim on the outside for more wheel functionality. plus it looks better. the xl got that big old black zit in the middle of it's face.....
