SOUNDFORGE

can someone please help me out with this soundforge program the question i got is how to timestretch a sample that you have chopped up,etc. the thing is that i have a mpc and i just dont like the sampler on it so i want cut the sample up in soundforge then put it into the mpc editor and just put it on a zip drive and yall know the rest. but i really need a detailed description if possible.

just click 'process' ... and select time-stretch...

as far as how to use... it .. i don't have a clue...

i do all my time-stretching on the mpc...... in fact i only use 'bpm-matching' instead..... all that ratio stuff... ain't for me... i just enter the correct number of bars .. and change the tempo..... done...

Maybe I can help, what is it that you need within sound forge?

do any of you use soundforge to fatten up your tracks ? Seems like it would be easier to edit it in soundforge, save it , then load it into MPC to do the time stretch

What you said is exactly what I do. For me, it's most of the time easier on SF than in the XK. I also fatten up/process samples in SF also then save to ZIP and load into my XL.
