Alright, This Really REALLY Sucks.

Yeah Im a little freaked out. I just got an MPC2000xl from an ebayer with really good feedback. As fate would have it, the things doesnt seem to work. Im wondering if someone might help me troubleshoot.

The problem as of now is, theres no sound coming thru the headphones when I try to sample from CD. Its on Analog input... Stereo mode.. and monitor is set at L/R. Rec and main volume are up, CD player volume is moderate. No sound. Tried different headphones. No sound. Ran the CD player through my Stanton DJ mixer and I hear sound through my monitors, so the problem isnt the CD player or the cables.

Is there anything else I can try, or am I screwed here?

have you tried hooking your monitors up to the mpc? just to rule out the possibility of the headphone out on the xl being the problem
