MPC2000 Classic SCSI issue PLEASE HELP!!

The OS for my MPC is on the HD connected via SCSI. When searching for the OS, the MPC looks for all SCSI connections but skips # 6 of 7. Before, it used to boot the OS from the HD on SCSI 6 with no problem, now it skips it. Do I have to reformat the HD?? It wasn't terminated before, do I now have to terminate it? WTF?

Make sure you check your SCSI drive terminal settings. Maybe by accident you might had hit the swtich on the back of the SCSI port. Also turn everything off then disconnect the SCSI from the MPC and reconnect it to make sure it's firmly connected then try again.

OK... thats what I failed to mention:

Tried turning everything off and disconnecting the SCSI from the back of the MPC. - Still skipped SCSI 6.The hard drive I am using is OLD SKOOL and there is no DIP switch on the back to hit

the back-story: all I did was hook it up to the MPC, turned the hard drive then MPC on, loaded the OS via floppy, then went to the copy window where it DID read the hard drive on SCSI 6, then loaded the OS from the floppy onto the hard drive. Had no problem booting the MPC up from the hard drive after that.
now, the MPC just skips SCSI 6 all together when booting up, even with the SCSI cable detached. Im thinking I need to get the MPC reset somehow... not sure...

Are you sure? I thought the MPC uses ID 6 and connected devices HAVE to use other ID's.

absolutely positive - it used to read something like "SCSI 6: Seagate 1.5 GB" - thats where I put the OS, and it worked like clockwork for at least a year since I got this MPC.

Well, you must have some sort of unique SCSI system because I have never owned, used, repaired, or designed any SCSI system that allowed two of the same ID's in the same LUN for samplers or computers.

In effect, you are asking us how to make YOUR mpc use 2 devices with the same ID. There isn't anyone here that can do that, including me, and I am working on my 2nd computer degree.
