mpc2000xl freezes Why oh Why

Yo my mpc just froze, it had madd random numbers and letters on the screen and the f buttons had words above them like mem seq and it just froze up i was making a beat i had just zoned recorded track one fine track two then i am getting readdy to put down a hi hat with the note repeat and it froze any know whats up does yours freeze is it temp or something what the hell is going on it froze once before when i had os 2 but now i am back at 1.14 and i dont understand ....

I've never had this happen to me, but I have had my xl freeze once or twice when I've been moving through modes, pressing buttons etc really fast and the mpc just froze up cause it couldn't keep up I guess .

HAHA maybe someone will tell u his secret technique to make it work again when it freezes!

i know how to get it working again i wanna know why or if it can be avoided .... but i guess its like wdj pointed out i must have been moving too quick from one thing to the next and it couldnt keep up (a shame that beat was kool) thanks tho i dont feel so bad know it happens to others from time to time

are you recording sysex data into the mpc. ive crashed mine a few times doing so.

my 2kxl crashed quite a bit, i always tried to save after i did anything i liked..after you get comfortable on the 2k you start whipping around really fast, thats when it freezes for me..slow down just a bit and save often..
